Humanity, Healing, Hope
Service is the greatest gift of all. Our service to humanity pillar embraces all other efforts of OFI to respond to various needs of the community. Relief operations and rehabilitation are some of the activities implemented through Gabay Lingkod.
Nutrition
Nurturing Mind and Body
Recognizing the plight of children in impoverished communities and that they are the future of any society, this pillar aims to provide the physical nourishment they need to grow and become healthy and productive individuals.
Education
Preparing for a Better, Brighter Future
The importance of education in a progressive and prosperous society is underscored in this pillar, especially addressing those with special needs who can indeed be contributing members of society through the proper instruction and encouragement. OFI helps provide the needed resources to existing institutions for the strengthening of their educational assistance programs and widening their reach. Not only are the beneficiaries provided with expanded opportunities, but a better and brighter future as well.
Environment
Growing Life to Nurture Life
Environmental degradation is an undeniable and increasingly urgent problem that compromises many of society’s basic needs, from food, to air, to water. While corporate social responsibility among businesses continues to grow, there is a stark need to cascade this awareness down to the grassroots not just for the environment, but for their own sake as well. This pillar focuses on enlightening and equipping targeted communities to do their share in helping to bring green back into their surroundings.
Livelihood
Equipping, Enabling, Empowering
Indeed, more important than dole-outs are real and long-term solutions to poverty. This pillar partners with LGUs and other private groups to provide training in various skills and help develop an accessible source of livelihood. Women—especially housewives, mothers and daughters—can help contribute to household income through handmade crafts and other products that can be done in the home.
