The rainy season is definitely here. It’s the perfect weather to have something hot during these cool, windy days. Take a look at some of the best rainy day meals you can easily make at home to keep you warm, while you try to enjoy the rains outside.

Ramen or Noodle Soup

Ramen has risen in popularity over recent years. The combination of a great soup broth, firm noodles, spring onions, seaweed, egg and a slice of pork or seafood, has truly made this dish quite iconic to millennials and young professionals. However, ramen noodles can be very expensive and not everyone may have the time or budget to visit a ramen shop and buy some for themselves. The great thing is that ramen noodles can actually be prepared at home. All you need is a pack of noodles, preferably the ones with a soup mix, that you can easily get from supermarkets. They can also even come in different flavors to choose from, catering to a variety of taste buds. Once you have your cooked ramen, just add a hard boiled egg and top it off with a slice of CDO Luncheon Meat or maybe CDO Classic Cooked Ham. Definitely something to enjoy on a rainy evening at an affordable price.

Creamy Chicken Sopas

Another popular staple in Filipino cuisine, sopas is a hot pasta soup dish that is often paired with chicken, ham or hotdogs and is usually with milk and cream. On a cold day, nothing beats a bowl of hot Creamy Chicken Sopas to keep you warm and cozy, especially around this time of year when the weather begins to turn colder. This recipe should be able to assist you in making a great bowl of sopas that the whole family will enjoy.
