Exciting Family Activities this Rainy Season

The rainy season is upon us again and with the bad weather, many are choosing to stay indoors even on weekends. With being stuck at home and nothing to do, it would be the perfect time to spend some time bonding with the family. Let’s take a look at these exciting family activities, shall we?

Game Nights

With the entire family at home and with no great activities to do outdoors what better way to bond and have fun  is with a bunch of board games and party games that the whole family can enjoy. Party games like pictionary or charades and board games like monopoly or scrabble are great games to play with family and can be enjoyed by anyone of all ages. What’s great is that these games have a great social aspect to it that allow you to engage each other in a fun and safe environment. 

Karaoke

If there was anything that defines the Filipino culture is our love for music. It is no surprise that one of the best selling home appliances is a karaoke machine with all those pre-programmed classic songs. One amazing and exciting way to spend time with your family is singing your heart out. Partner your singing with sumptuous food and you’ve all set. You don’t even have to go to a karaoke place to have fun as you can simply play some songs over spotify or better yet YouTube with the simple search word of karaoke.

Movie and TV Binge Watch 

If music doesn’t work for you, then maybe watching movies or TV series are more of your thing. Gather the family round on a cold night and snuggle up to your couch or sofa and start watching your favorite shows or movies on Netflix or Prime Video. Pair up your watch party with some great food. Personally, I love eating full meals while watching shows on TV with the family and I’m sure they would love that too.

Family CookOut

And speaking of food, another exciting activity is a family cookout. Plan together some meals that you want then cook it together as a family. Someone can wash the vegetables, another could start cutting and chopping the ingredients, while someone else prepares the rice. It will be fun to cook something together and eat that food after and involve the whole family. Some of the best times I’ve had was spending time with my siblings and my parents in the kitchen trying to cook up the best dish we can make.
