Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 250g CDO Idol Cheesedog, thawed and peeled
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 2 tbsps. butter
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 pcs. ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 and 1/2 cups rice, cooked
  • 1/4 cup corn kernels
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp. cilantro, chopped
  • 10 pcs. cheddar cheese sandwich slices
  • 10 pcs. medium-size soft tortillas

SAUCE:

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsps. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 1 tsp. cilantro, chopped

Procedure:

  1. In a medium-sized pan, fry your CDO Idol Cheesedogs for 3-5 minutes. Set them aside for later.
  2. In the same pan, melt the butter. Next, saute the tomatoes, garlic, and onion until they turn soft. Stir in the rice, paprika, and corn until the ingredients are well-combined. Season this with salt and pepper to taste. Once done, turn off the heat and mix in your cilantro.
  3. To assemble your mini burritos, place a tortilla wrap on a foil sheet. Place a cheddar sandwich cheese slice on top, as well as about two spoonfuls of your fried rice. Lastly, top the rice with a piece of fried CDO Idol Cheesedog.
  4. Next, fold over the left and right edges gently, then tuck in the filling securely with the bottom edge. Roll the tortilla until you reach the top edge, ensuring that the filling doesn’t fall out. Do the same with the foil sheet.
  5. Preheat your oven or toaster at 175C. Heat up the burritos for 5 -7 minutes.
  6. To make the sauce, combine with the cilantro, garlic, water, and mayo. Serve this alongside with your heated burritos.

This burrito recipe will take less than thirty minutes. It’s a great dish to prepare after you finish with work or chores. Not to mention, these bite-sized burritos are made to be shared- you’ll have tons of fun swapping stories with your kids over this tasty treat.
